Dappled - '19 "appellation" Pinot Noir, Upper Yarra Valley VIC
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Winemaking: A blend of cool upper Yarra Valley vineyards. Hand picked grapes undergo a cold soak before crushing, retaining 30% whole bunch. Traditional winemaking techniques include wild yeast fermentation, foot plunging, open ferment and natural MLF. Aged for 10 months on full lees in 10% new oak. Bottled by gravity, unfixed and unfiltered.
Nose: Brambly red berry fruits.
Palate: Plums, cherry, cranberry and a whisper of blueberry. Fine tannins with a fresh acid and mineral drive.
Our Notes: Richer and more forceful than the '18, but with added control and detail.
