Down The Rabbit Hole - '18 "Joy & Bliss" Chardonnay, Mclaren Vale SA
Winemaking: Crushed and stemmed straight into the press. The juice fermented slowly in stainless steel for 2-3 weeks. Fermented dry on full solids. Lees stirred every 3 days to build texture and mouthfeel. Underwent partial malolactic fermentation in barrel. Filtered prior to bottling.
Nose: Passionfruit, honeydew and some zesty citrus notes.
Palate: Lively and fresh with a creamy mouth feel and a crisp green apple finish.
Our Notes: Exactly what you want when the sky turns golden at the end of the day. A light easy going style that gets us into the festival spirit and makes us want to own our own VW van for road trips with friends!
